Bernstein Suite

The owners made us feel very welcome, with great communication and helpful tips about places to see nearby. We stayed with our family in the Bernstein Suite and had plenty of room. It’s only a few steps to the lovely sandy beach, and from the balcony you can sit and listen to the waves. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and equipped as described, and worked well for a family with children. We’d gladly come back and recommend it.

The room layout is good, and being close to the beach is a real plus. But the main road runs near the property, and the bedrooms facing it were noisy. I couldn’t find any peace on the balcony either. I paid €95 for final cleaning, just like the guests before me, yet there was a full bathroom bin left behind. The balcony hadn’t been cleaned and had big cobwebs and bird droppings. I reported these things to Fe Maris. They were fixed only after I reported them a second time, because housekeeping was off on Pentecost Sunday. Someone should at least be on call for problems. I got an apology and nothing else. I don’t want to find strangers’ bathroom rubbish, and part of the cleaning fee should be refunded to the customer by the cleaning company. Neither this apartment nor this landlord is an option for me. The furniture was quite damaged and is apparently due for replacement. Since the season was only just beginning, this could have been done earlier. The glasses were worn or missing and need replacing or replenishing, and there was no parasol. Maybe none of this matters to anyone, since the apartment is always fully booked and earns money.
