The staff were so friendly, the food was great, and it’s a lovely spot. Loved it!

After our long, strenuous hike, finding this café tucked into nature was just what we needed. The peaceful setting was breathtaking, and the host greeted us warmly, then spontaneously invited us to see the goats. They apparently love pretzels, which made for a fun little moment. We also really enjoyed the small plate of treats the host brought out. The food was delicious and hit the spot after our walk. It’s a lovely place for a relaxing break in nature, and we’ll definitely return.

The setting is beautiful, with a view and an atmosphere that brings the Canary Islands to mind, partly thanks to the goats. It’s a great base for short or longer hikes in the Baybach Valley, and the historical rock paintings nearby make for a worthwhile day trip. It’s an enchanting place, especially if you care more about good food than a fancy setting. Reservations are recommended. The owners are incredibly welcoming and make a real effort to look after you. The food is clearly cooked with love, and on special days they put on excellent buffets: salads, dips, sauces, homemade bread, creamy goat cheese, soup, one or two meat mains, and desserts like cakes or yogurt with fruit. Everything is neatly and attractively served, and the flavors go together beautifully. It has the feel of a Spanish tapas bar. The à la carte menu isn’t huge, but the choice feels just right, with something for everyone. Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend beer 😋

Thanks so much for the generous hospitality and a lovely evening of food. The kids enjoyed it just as much as we did. Five stars don’t feel like enough, and we’ll definitely be back.
