Hostel Harzer Hof

We’ve stayed at this hostel several times and plan to return. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. A perfect spot for a short break.

I felt welcome even arriving after 10 pm with my big dog and a large, heavy suitcase. Philipp carried it up to my room and went over the key information. My single room was a good size, clean, and had a balcony and refrigerator. I didn’t use the shared kitchen. The café across the street is well worth a visit, and on weekends I recommend the breakfast buffet at the “Coffee Corner.” I’ll definitely return! 🤩

We enjoyed using the shared kitchen, which was very well kept. The rooms are modern, and the staff and operators were very friendly. Our room faced the pedestrian zone, but we couldn’t hear any outside noise. The building itself carries a lot of sound, though, so that could be an issue if you’re not a deep sleeper. The price was very good for what we got.

I was very comfortable here during my September hiking week with my dog. The central room was clean and modern, with a balcony, kettle, and refrigerator. The bed was freshly made and towels were provided. There’s a shared kitchenette for cooking and eating together. I also found a well-stocked bookshelf, games, and high-quality Spa Alpin cosmetics.
