Pension Weißer Brunnen

I was really pleased with my stay and will definitely come back. The room was newly furnished, spotless, and had a kettle and tea. The contact was friendly, too. It’s centrally located, so street noise is to be expected in a city. The guesthouse and restaurant aren’t directly connected. I arrived quite late, but the kitchen still managed to make me a meal. I felt very comfortable and can highly recommend both.

The guesthouse is in a great spot for Gotha city center. My room was lovely and very clean, and the location was quiet. There’s also a very good restaurant on site.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a new bathroom, but the stay had several downsides. The shower pressure was very weak. The separate restaurant downstairs sometimes made noise, and food smells came through the bathroom vent and into the stairwell. Communication was sparse: when we had a question and called the number provided, no one answered or called us back. The listing says there’s a parking lot, but there isn’t one. There are public spaces on the nearby street. It also mentions coffee and tea, though we were offered only tea, and says there’s a restaurant and café, which isn’t correct. Breakfast isn’t provided, and that wasn’t clear to us beforehand. Finding a breakfast café open in the morning on weekends in Gotha is difficult. Given all this, we thought the price was too high.

A sweet little guesthouse in a really peaceful spot. You can easily get to the station and shops from here by tram.
