With a view of the Zugspitze, the setting is lovely, and the tablecloths, dishes, and cutlery make the meal feel like fine dining. The kitchen is far beyond what you'd expect. I was surprised by how flavorful the vegetarian spinach and mushroom dish was, and the dessert was flawless.

The food was more than excellent, and everyone was incredibly kind. We loved the comfortable rooms and their adorable decor. Some have big terraces facing the mountains. Easily the best place to stay around here.

We were given guest cards for free bus rides around the area, which was handy. The hosts are lovely, and our room was cleaned every day while we had breakfast in the restaurant.

The owners were so hospitable and helpful during our two nights here in May 2014. The house is a lovely example of Bavarian style, and our room had a porch just outside the French doors. We enjoyed two delicious breakfasts and a great dinner on our first evening. We hope to return next year.

The place feels very authentic and has a beautiful view of the Zugspitze. The food is excellent, among the best in the area, and the steak and vegetables were fantastic. Dinner service ends early, though, so arrive early or call ahead.
