The free parking, generous breakfast, and friendly staff were the best parts. There are shops and restaurants nearby, plus two lakes for pleasant walks. We stayed as a couple, but found the room very small. Its furnishings were adequate for a guesthouse, though the place badly needs renovation and perhaps a deep clean. Dogs aren’t allowed, which I can understand given the room sizes, but between that and the condition, I’ll look for somewhere else next time.

The Hotel Saba is easy to reach on foot from the station and only a few steps from the center. Booking was smooth, and the receptionist was very friendly. I was just passing through and stayed one night. For the price, the room was clean, functional, and okay, though clearly showing its age. The mold in the shower stood out straight away and badly needs repair. As a non-smoker, I found the strong smell of fresh smoke in the shared areas really unpleasant. People were smoking below my room too, and smoke drifted in through my open window. The curtains let in too much light, with no other way to darken the room, so I was glad I’d packed an eye mask. I ate at a nearby Greek restaurant and enjoyed the food. The service there was very friendly.

I travel often and stay in a range of hotels, but this guesthouse still shocked me. The room badly needs renovation: mold on the shower grout, a rusty radiator, and a dent in the wall. The shower screen was filthy, as the photos show, and dust covered the bedside lamp, desk, and side table. I felt very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I wouldn’t return.

A good value option for a short trip. Parking was good, and the location was quiet. The room opened onto a small terrace with a table, two chairs, and an ashtray. Access was through a lockable balcony door from the rear terrace, which was freely accessible. Changing from a first floor room to one on the ground floor was easy when we arrived. The room and bathroom were big enough for two or three nights, though the shower cubicle was a little cramped. Furnishings were perfectly adequate. Cleanliness was okay, and given that the room hadn’t been prepared for guests because of the table, it was absolutely fine.
