The staff did their best and were attentive, friendly, almost like family. Still, the price didn't feel justified. We had booked a Junior Suite for two nights, and my wife and I were the only guests. I may have booked a few days too early: soon after we reserved, online booking stopped because of a change in ownership and a system upgrade. I don't know how long that will last. The suite was clean but a bit small, especially the bathroom. For €200 a night, it felt a bit of a bargain. There was no elevator to the second floor, which was hard for older people, particularly with luggage. The small balcony wasn't especially attractive, and the view over an old roof wasn't great. Breakfast was served at the table, so it wasn't comparable to the buffets at other hotels, such as those directly on the beach promenade. With only two guests, though, you can't expect that. Parking was included at two other good beach promenade hotels where I've stayed twice this year. Here, the Cammann charges €8 a night. I can understand that when the hotel is full, but the whole parking lot was empty, we were the only guests, and because of the system change no more guests were expected for the time being. Next time I'd rather book directly on the beach promenade again, especially since the price is comparable.

For a total of almost €200, another €8 for parking is too much, and the price for what you get just isn't acceptable anymore. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were okay and clean, though quite small, and the cobwebs from last year were still on the balcony. Breakfast seating was also unacceptable, with you practically next to your neighbor, sometimes even facing each other and forced to look at one another.

The location was excellent, breakfast was generous, and the room was lovely. We got such a warm welcome. Everything was great, and I'd gladly return.

Everyone was friendly and seemed to anticipate what we needed. The service was first-class, and the room was clean, spacious and perfect. What a fantastic hotel. We'll be back.
