Haus zur Mole - Apt.12

We’re here for the second time and would happily keep coming back. It’s beautiful, incredibly modern, and well furnished, so close to the sea. We couldn’t have wished for a better holiday, and it’s worth every penny!!!

The view is unbeatable, and otherwise everything was great. We stayed in apartment number 14. October/November was very quiet, so if you’re looking for peace, summer isn’t the time to go.

The sea view was breathtaking, and I’ve fallen in love with Großenbrode as a holiday destination. I’m already planning a 2024 trip, just not to Haus zur Mole – Apt. 12. I stayed there for 9 nights for €1800, and returned from my vacation yesterday. The apartment isn’t in the budget price range, and the defects below shouldn’t have been there. I paid on time and upheld my part of the contract, but unfortunately can’t say the same for the owner. The bathroom and hallway had no light or electricity. I told the owner on the first day, but nothing was done, so for the whole stay I had to use my smartphone flashlight in the evenings and at night. With no electricity in the bathroom, I couldn’t use a hairdryer there and had to use it in the living area instead. The bedroom bed frame was flimsy and squeaked and creaked, and the mattress was worn out. I need a good night’s sleep on vacation, but didn’t get one here, so I slept on the sofa for 4 out of 9 nights. Two of the 3 ceiling lights also didn’t work. There were spiders and cobwebs all over the living area ceilings. My first job in Apartment 12 was to clean them up, which is not how you want to start a vacation. There was too much for me to get it all, but I did manage to make it less gross. The balcony looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, with spiders and cobwebs everywhere, green mold on the tiles, and dirt on the chairs. Several balcony tiles were dangerously loose, and with no privacy screen between balconies, there was zero privacy. A few other things were wrong too: the living area TV was crooked and needed tightening, and the ceiling light socket was missing, leaving cables dangling. Großenbrode itself is a wonderful place.
