The agency dealt with our complaint straight away, which I appreciated, but I wouldn't book this apartment again. We've stayed in Zingst plenty of times and had better luck before. The place felt quite dated, and the bathroom was a shock, even though it looked relatively new. The shower was filthy enough that a cleaning service had to come, and the kitchen wasn't clean either.

Once I'd bought the basic supplies and cleaned the shower again, we could finally start enjoying the holiday, and it really was lovely. The location made things easy, with shops, the beach, and a playground all within walking distance. But bring toilet paper, dish soap, dishcloths, and even a tea towel. I had to bring my own bed linens too, and having to buy basic cleaning things first really annoyed me. I cleaned the whole vacation home before checking out, and I doubt the cleaning staff will bother doing it again. The bathroom showed the problem, especially the shower edges, which weren't clean at all, and I'm not usually fussy.

The windows had no insect screens, so mosquitoes were quick to find us. We stayed in the attic apartment, which got simply hot in summer, and the cleanliness was, well, a matter of differing standards. The beach is about 450 meters away on foot. There's a shared shed for bikes and a parking spot by the entrance. The living space was pretty good and everything worked.

Everything we needed was there, and the place was clean and spacious. The mattresses were good too. It was well located, near both the beach and the town center.

We have apartment 19 and Kranich 40. Both are nice, well-equipped apartments.
