We learned about the garden and terrace restrictions only when we arrived, even though we had booked at the beginning of the year and paid everything on time. The apartment was furnished very nicely, just as described, but we had the same problem as the guests before us: we weren't allowed to use either outdoor area because of social distancing. With two terraces and such a big garden, that made no sense to us. Then guests who arrived a day after us said they were allowed to use them. We still don't know why the rules were different. With nowhere to relax, we ended up being out all day, every day. There was also noise from a Telekom construction site right outside that carried on until evening, so we cut our holiday short because we had nowhere to escape to. If we'd been told about the garden and terrace when booking, we wouldn't have chosen this apartment. We always book holiday rentals with a balcony or terrace, and that had worked fine even during the previous year of the coronavirus pandemic. The landlord said they were sorry, but that didn't give us our lost holiday time back. We paid everything properly, and it seemed that's all that mattered to the landlord.

A bakery is only a few minutes away on foot, and two supermarkets are a short drive from the apartment. Inside, it's cozy, modern, and has what you need for everyday life. Towels and bed linen were provided, and final cleaning was included in the price. We got a very friendly welcome and a quick tour. The new box-spring bed was really comfortable. Wi-Fi is available, though slow. It was enough for looking up things to do and information about the area. If you ask, they can provide a proper baby bed rather than a travel cot, along with a high chair and socket covers. A top rating from me!

We only learned when we arrived that the garden was off limits. The landlord said it was because the COVID-19 distancing rules couldn't be followed. With about 1000 square meters and two terraces, that was hard for us to understand. Surely a way could have been worked out for a property that large. Breakfast outside or a beer in the garden in the evening was out of the question. The apartment itself is furnished nicely and practically. Bvbhj

It was clean and tidy inside, but not being able to use the garden was a big downside.
