Reception was efficient, the rooms were generous in size and well equipped, and the internet was very fast. Breakfast was fantastic, though the room was busy. The hotel suited our needs well: easy to find and park, right across from the train station and almost surrounded by shops. It was a bit pricey, but otherwise I had nothing to complain about.

The only downside was the internet: access meant signing up for the loyalty program, which seemed unnecessary, so I skipped it and used mobile data. Otherwise, I had a great stay. The room was cozy, with a large window, roomy bed, and comfortable bathroom, and the breakfast buffet was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. My sleep tracker gave the hotel bed a 98 out of 100 for the night, which almost never happens.

The old town is an easy 20-minute walk, and the tram is another option. The rooms were clean, breakfast was excellent, and the station is right behind the hotel.

The only real plus was being close to the train station and shops. Outside, groups were smoking marijuana, drinking, smashing bottles, shouting, and playing loud music. We kept walking over broken alcohol bottles and trash, and the area did not feel safe to travel through. I booked three rooms for a summer trip with friends and family because the listing advertised air conditioning. None of them had AC that worked properly, so everyone was hot the whole time. I asked staff for different rooms and was told they would put in a maintenance ticket. Nobody from maintenance came during our three-night stay, and staff seemed not to care. I asked management for some kind of refund for the hotel’s failure, but they dismissed the concern and eventually stopped communicating. Listing AC as a feature when it does not work in all of our rooms is fraudulent. Management later claimed they offered me a gift card. That never happened. I stayed three nights, and after I reported the problem to staff on the first night, no one from management spoke to me again. Neither I nor my guests were offered compensation for the nonfunctional AC. I also stayed at four other German hotels during the trip, in Cologne, Kassel, Gremsdorf, and Frankfurt, for two or three nights each, and their rooms actually cooled down unlike Intercity Dresden. They also said a gift card was given at checkout. That's a blatant lie. Maybe they should check their employee's pocket, because nobody offered anything for the false room descriptions. If they wanted to compensate us, they could have done it through Expedia, where I also filed a complaint. The hotel denied my complaint and refund request to Expedia, claiming everything worked perfectly, which was far from the truth. Nothing was offered during or at the end of the trip. Management lying about this shows they can't be trusted, and the property should be avoided.
