Hotel garni Günzburg

The breakfast could use some improvement. On the busier weekend, a few items were occasionally missing from the buffet. Still, we had a great three-night family visit to Legoland and found the hotel good value. It's about a 10-minute drive to Legoland and five minutes to the city centre, where there are nice bars and restaurants. We arrived around 11 PM and the check-in machine wasn't working. The person on the phone was incredibly helpful, though, and we got everything sorted within minutes. For overnight parking, the supermarket lot across the street is convenient.

Reception shuts at 3 pm, but check-in is still okay because there's a machine. I also liked that drinks are available around the clock. Take what you need and pay at checkout. The rooms are a little small, but that's to be expected for a 3-star place. Very good value for money!

Our room had been newly renovated, with a double-decker bed for the children that they loved. There was also a sort of balcony, about 3 square metres, enclosed by high concrete walls with no other windows. The breakfast was average and the staff were friendly. You can park on the street for a fee. The hotel is close to the old town, with a bus stop right next to it. Nice place, though not somewhere I'd want to spend my entire vacation.

Ten stars out of five 😁 We got a large room and, in the middle of summer, a great fan. The staff were amazing, and breakfast in the morning had a fantastic variety 😉 There was a fridge for guests to store food and several board games for the kids. Free parking is nearby. The historic centre of Günzburg is just a few metres away, with plenty of restaurants: classic German food, Italian pizza, Mexican, Greek, something for everyone. Legoland is only about 10 minutes away by car.
