The host was so friendly, I loved it. It was a bit hotter than usual, and there's no air conditioning, though the fan helped a little. Free parking is a big plus if you're driving. I recommend it.

Marcus was wonderful and really helpful on our first trip to Europe. The hotel was very clean and quiet, and breakfast was great. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in room 8 under the roof, three of us, and it was clean, nice, and quiet. I forgot my Apple Pencil, but they sent it back to me in Holland a few days later without charging extra. Thanks so much, we had a great stay. It's a lovely family-run hotel, not expensive, close to Freiburg, which is well worth visiting, and about 20 minutes from Europapark. The owner had lived in America, which explains his impeccable English pronunciation.

Make sure you're certain before booking. The cancellation terms are really unfavorable, since you need to give more than a month's notice to get even a partial refund. Maybe it's a nice place, but I'll never know. The owner's response to my warning about this was surprising. I was trying to help others avoid the same mistake. The business keeps all my money, so it isn't actually harmed. They can probably give the room to someone else with plenty of time to rebook. If publicly shaming me makes the owner feel good, I guess they can enjoy that too, along with my money and the room. Win-win for them, I suppose.
