The tram outside the window made it a bit noisy. Still, the big, clean room on the fifth floor worked well for four people, and the lift was working. Staff were friendly. With kids, it was a perfect five-minute walk to catch an early train.

The suite worked well for our weeklong return stay. What impressed me again was how friendly the staff are, some of the friendliest I've come across. Being beside Hauptbahnhof is handy, and supermarkets and shops are open on weekends too. It was nice to be able to get complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby anytime.

The brothel next door could count as a plus or a minus, depending on your view, but for us it made the location worse. Next time I'd choose somewhere a little nearer the city center. The hotel itself was fine, with friendly staff, what we needed, and good parking access around the building.

Update after ibis' response: Accor called me today about my review, and I appreciate them following up and taking feedback seriously. I need to correct two details: I booked after 11pm, not around 6pm, and I called five times, not around fifteen. My main concern remains that I didn't know most Accor hotels have reception 24/7. Other hotel brands don't all offer that, so it wasn't obvious to me that Accor did. I think it would help to state clearly that 24/7 check-in is available. I also reject the suggestion that I dialed incorrectly. The screenshot shows how I called: Germany's country code is +49, followed by the number without its initial zero. I had reception on my phone, and Accor support tried calling too but couldn't get through. I just tried that number again and it works now, so I suspect, as your representative did, that the phone operator had a temporary outage. Please check with the operator and compare the service chat logs between Accor and me from that night. I appreciate you following up on my rating. Original review: I ended up checking in, so I gave two stars rather than one, but the whole experience was very unsatisfying. I booked spontaneously and expected to arrive around 3am. Because I'd previously been stranded without a room when I couldn't check in, I wanted to confirm that reception was open all night. The reservation details didn't say, and the hotel's number wouldn't connect, despite my trying about fifteen times. Accor support had no other contact details and first just told me to call again. After more back and forth, they tried calling the hotel too, without success. My only choice was to drive there and hope I could check in. It was a ten-hour drive, and I was anxious the whole way.
