Breakfast felt like it had something for everyone, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. Still, communicating with them was a bit challenging because I don’t speak German and they don’t speak my language. Some basic English training for everyone would help, as I’m sure we’re not the first or last international guests. I also found few options for lunch and dinner, which is why I gave 3 stars. I had a single room in mid-March. It was much smaller than I expected, but very clean and warm. The hotel is close to the train station, and you can get to central Hamburg in under 30 minutes. If you fancy a walk and want to explore the area, Bergedorf is about 15-20 min on foot. It’s small but pretty, with lots of nice cafes and places to eat. There’s apparently the only castle in Hamburg there. I didn’t get inside, but the outside is really nice and worth seeing.

The rooms were super, super small, and mine had a closet with only one door. There was no Wi-Fi included and no A/C, so it was damn hot. The 12€ buffet didn’t taste good at all. We came as a big group, but the hotel hadn’t booked enough rooms for us. They messed up the booking, so I ended up in a small room instead of sharing a double room with my friend. A 3 stars hotel? It doesn’t deserve it. I’ve stayed in 1 star hotels that were waaaay better. I’ll definitely never come back.

The room was okay, and breakfast was very good. I had a waterbed, which felt a bit unusual for my back, but overall it was a good stay. The big problem was the Wi-Fi in my room on the 7th Floor. I bought a Wifi Card at reception for 5Eur, but none of my devices could connect to the Wofo, and I couldn’t get the card refunded. Check Out was until 10a.m., a little too early for me since my appointments were in the afternoon.

The free parking garage, free billard and playstation, and friendly desk staff were nice. It’s right at an s-bahn station, though about a 30 minute train ride from Hamburg. The rooms and bathroom are really tiny, and there’s no proper door between the room and bath. Breakfast quality was okay but not great. Charging extra for every special coffee, like a latte macchiato or espresso, at breakfast is a no go.

There aren’t many breakfast choices for Muslims, so after two days you’ll be bored. Their coffee is just okay, not even good.
