We stayed at the start of June and had to keep the windows open to cool the room. There was a fan to move the air, linked to the light, but outside noise still came through even with the windows shut, since the hotel faces a busy street. A strong smoking smell lingered in our room throughout the stay. The curtains let in some light, and you have to re-enter the internet code after a break in using your device. On the plus side, the price was low for a stay in Hamburg, and it’s 5-10 mins on foot from the central station, with a metro station right in front. It’s a small hotel with 11 rooms, and we didn’t hear noise from other rooms. The reception staff were helpful when we arrived. We got fresh towels every day, and the small bathroom was clean and convenient. Remember to turn on the water heater in the bathroom before showering. The beds are firm. Overall, a good hotel for the cost.

The internet connection was the one snag, it didn’t work very well. Otherwise, the room was clean and nice, and the staff were really friendly. The location is very good, around 12 minutes on foot from the central station.

Nothing fancy, but it’s a clean and friendly place for a night, with kind people and a great location. As a married couple out sightseeing, it suited us fine. I’m not sure the area would suit tourist children or families.

The receptionists were friendly, but the room fell short of expectations. For £55, I got a 6m2 room with a single bed and an old, broken TV. The hairdryer didn’t work, and the room stayed cold even with the heater at maximum. It was also quite dark, with 2 small lamps.

The room was okay, though a little noisy because it faced the street. Bus lines and the U-Bahn make the hotel well connected.
