Hotel Volksschule

The breakfast buffet had a great selection, and the subway is four minutes away, with a seven-minute ride to the city center. The hotel has an interesting background, and both the room and bathroom were modern, lovely, and clean. The problem was the poor ventilation at breakfast. Our clothes smelled of food for the rest of the day, and something should be done about it.

We had a great breakfast, with lots of choices, good coffee, juice, milk, and plenty of other drinks. There's no dinner at the hotel, but there are lots of places on the same street. I'd recommend schweineke for burgers and schnitzel, about a 400-meter walk. The average guests seemed well-behaved and a little older, maybe around 50 at breakfast, which I liked and felt added to the luxurious experience. This was our last hotel of the trip, and I was hoping for somewhere nice. I certainly found it. It's in an old volks school building with beautiful thick walls and high ceilings. There's a well-lit private parking area directly in front of the reception desk. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, well cleaned, and come with a minibar and big TV. The bathroom has a very nice shower, a washbasin, and toilet all in one room. I'll definitely stay here again if I need a hotel for a night or two. 5/5

The staff were lovely and always greeted us with a smile, and breakfast had plenty of good options for everyone. The bathroom was clean and nice, with the basics you'd expect at a good hotel. The room was really nice and clean too. The beds were OK, nothing fancy, and I'm a picky sleeper 😅, but I slept well throughout the stay. The hotel isn't too far from the U-Bahn, which I'd recommend using since the hotel has parking. It has a lot of good amenities and is a very nice hotel overall. 😁👍

The metro is very close, and the hotel is easy to reach by car. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Hamburg.
