The Heaven Suite was spacious, stylish, and well equipped. We appreciated the complimentary minibar, the handy coffee machine, and the comfortable bed. The shower was hot with strong pressure. It did get warm in the room overnight, so we opened the window. Before arriving, I emailed NYX Hotel Hamburg to explain that I’d be early and was likely to be tired after recent chemotherapy. They said early check-in would depend on availability, which I understood. At the hotel, the receptionist was very friendly, checked the system, and said the room should be ready in about 30 minutes. She showed us a comfortable place to wait and came over soon after to say it was ready. We checked in around 08:30, and having a chance to rest before exploring the city made a real difference. The staff’s kindness and understanding stood out. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it to people visiting Hamburg.

The bar downstairs was decent, and the hotel has a quirky, trendy feel. It’s well placed for public transport, with the local light railway three minutes away and regular trains taking five minutes to reach the central station, two stops later. Our Comfort room was clean and modern, though a bit small for two. There was a Nespresso-style machine, but not much powdered milk.

The room was small but spotless, and the shower was a dream. We were tired, so getting into the room before check-in time was a huge help. Check-in itself was quick, and we loved the decor and relaxed feel as soon as we arrived. Breakfast had lots of choices, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. Breakfast was excellent, with so many choices, though I couldn't find decaf coffee. The hotel is very clean, and the room was good, with a large bed and smart TV. The pillows were thick, and I would have preferred thinner ones. The location is handy: 100 meters from S bahn Hamerbrook, then one stop to hauptabanhof, where the airport train stops. A perfect choice for me, and I’ll definitely stay there again if I return.

The breakfast room felt chaotic, with people struggling to get around and bumping into one another. The rooms, bathrooms, and even the towels were unusually small for what we paid. There were no toiletries, and the hair dryer was so noisy it barely dried anything. It could be a good hotel, but the design seems to have received more attention than upkeep or guest comfort.
