Traditionshaus by Zollenspieker Fährhaus

The sauna and spa were a lovely way to unwind, and the quiet around the hotel made it feel like time had slowed down. Our room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with a lovely river view. Zollenspieker Fährhaus sits right on the Elbe, a beautiful spot for a walk or sunset. The restaurant and bar had a pleasant feel, breakfast was varied and tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It all made for a memorable stay, and I’d gladly come back for a romantic escape or a break in nature.

We stayed just one night and had a great time. I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel is peaceful and nicely placed by the river, with a pleasant breakfast and a terrace overlooking the small marina and river where you can relax with a drink. The main problem was our room: we had booked two nights four months ahead, but only learned on arrival that it was above a wedding reception. The hotel was full when we asked to move us. During the heatwave, we wanted to open the windows at night for fresh air, but the noise made that impossible. We reported it, and at checkout the manager waived the cost of one breakfast. There are two buildings, and ours had no lift, so carrying luggage upstairs was tricky. If mobility is an issue, check with reception before booking.

Getting there without a car could be a bit difficult, which is why I’m taking off a star. Still, it’s a lovely place in a beautiful location, with helpful staff, decent food, and very clean, modern rooms.
