We were very disappointed with this vacation rental and can’t recommend it. We arrived to find the heating broken, which made things uncomfortable in the cold weather and left us feeling quite unwell. The place also seemed extremely unhygienic and uninviting. Cobwebs were everywhere, as though cleaning had been neglected for a long time, and both the refrigerator and freezer were filthy. The kitchen was badly short of cutlery for a house meant for six people. There were only four small spoons, which made preparing and serving meals difficult. We also found mold in the bathroom, which looked unpleasant and raised health concerns, and cigarette butts in a flowerpot. I took photos documenting all these problems. We received no response to our inquiries. That, along with the condition of the house, made the landlord seem very unprofessional.

We stayed from August 10th to 12th, 2024, and found the apartment dirty and very neglected. In the bedroom there was water damage and extensive black mold, something already mentioned in reviews on August 2nd. The bedroom blind was torn, the oven was heavily soiled, and the refrigerator hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were cobwebs in a corner and four large spiders in the living room. The coffee pot had old, slightly moldy coffee in it, so we had to clean it with dishwasher tablets, and there was an old filter left in the machine. The couch also had stains. The landlord blamed poor cleaning staff, but in my view, if a place isn’t clean it shouldn’t be rented out. He dismissed the mold and wouldn’t offer adequate compensation. Not very nice.

The old town is an easy walk away, and there’s parking on the property. It’s a large, modern apartment with lovely furnishings. The kitchen supplies were a little basic, just the essentials, with no sharp knives and fewer coffee mugs, for example, though it was enough for a weekend. Definitely recommend it!

The service was excellent. I’d gladly use it again.
