Parkhotel Hameln

There’s a little room with fridges stocked with mineral water and soft drinks, free for hotel guests. I really appreciated that. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options and good coffee, and the room was sparkling clean, spacious, and opened onto a small park. The weather was cold and rainy, so I barely used the balcony. It’s about a five-minute walk from the historic town center. The staff were cheerful, very friendly and helpful.

The beds and linen were super comfortable, and breakfast the next morning had a great, wide selection. The hostess even brought coffee to our table, although guests could use the machine themselves. That extra care made us happy. Both receptionists gave us a fantastic welcome, recommended a good German restaurant and called to check whether our small dog could come. The rooms had lovely views of a quiet park, the town and the countryside. My double bed duvet was too small, more like a large single, though I think the staff would have helped if I’d asked. Everything was immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast selection was wide, freshly cooked and kept up. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was complimentary water guests could take for their rooms. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna, but we didn’t have time to visit. I’d say it’s ideal for either leisure or business travel.

The hotel is new and clean, and every room has a nice balcony. Breakfast is complimentary and generous. My room had a strange long corridor between the entrance and the sleeping area, which felt a bit scary 😰. Too bad there’s no fitness room.
