Hotel Ebnet Garni

A very pleasant, quiet place to unwind at the end of the day. The staff are friendly, and it’s much more comfortable than larger, busier hotels. I don’t stay anywhere else.

The free parking was handy, and the hotel itself felt quiet and cozy. Breakfast in the garden was a treat, especially the freshly made omelet.

We stayed here for one night in August 2020 while cycling through, and the welcome after a long ride was so warm. The hostess brought us coffee and cookies, which immediately made us feel at home. She also shared plenty of information about the city, places to eat, and how to get there, so the attention felt personal. Our room on the first floor was clean, cozy, and nicely kept, with a balcony looking over the garden. It wasn't ultra-modern, but it had a comfortable feel. We spent a long time out there in the evening with wine and candlelight. The garden itself is a little paradise, full of lovely plants and flowers. Breakfast can be eaten among olive trees, strelitzias, fig trees, oleander, lemon trees, hydrangeas, and more. Breakfast was far beyond the usual hotel spread, with tomatoes and mozzarella, different cheeses and sausages, several egg dishes, fresh fruit, and sweet pastries, with classical music playing in the background. The hotel is in the quiet residential area of Bad Schachen, a little way from central Lindau. The bus stop is only a few meters away, and the guest card lets you ride into the center for free. We were very happy with the hotel and hostess and would definitely come back for longer. Thanks for a short but lovely stay.
