Hotel Reverey

There's no breakfast included, but the wonderful Brotkörbli is very close by. Our ground-floor room facing the street was still quiet, and the location is peaceful, south of all the hubbub. It's also near the Maschsee, the New Town Hall, Meiers Lebenslust Brauerei, Lorrettas, and the Red Thread. Highly suggested!

The manager's response to my request for a partial refund was the worst part of a very unpleasant experience. After she answered in a condescending tone and accused me of lying, I repeated my request in a friendly but firm way. She reacted just as arrogantly and showed no regard for what I said. When I told her I would leave a negative review online, she sent an unsigned email threatening to sue me if I posted publicly. She said her legal education meant she knew exactly how to sue people, and that she could track me down even if I left an anonymous review and hid my IP address. That felt completely outside normal business communication, and it's why I'm sharing what happened. Hotel management shouldn't treat a client this way. It began with a miscommunication that meant we weren't allowed into our room, even though we had all the COVID-related documents ready. Maybe there was a language barrier and we didn't understand each other properly. These things can happen, and I wasn't too angry about that. I contacted the hotel afterward to politely ask for a partial refund. I wasn't expecting much during chaotic COVID times. I just wanted an apology, normal polite communication, and some understanding.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the location puts you close to everything in town. Self check-in worked well.

A clean, decent hotel. There's no reception, but that was fine for us since the key is in a lockbox.
