ATLANTIC Hotel Heidelberg

The restaurant is very expensive: I paid 58 euro for a small steak and fries. It tasted good, but thank goodness my company covered it. I’ve stayed here twice for work, a year apart. The location is convenient for the station, and the hotel is very nice and newly renovated. Still, the reception staff weren’t very friendly, and on both visits I found dust under the bed or on surfaces. If they’re missing the dust, it makes me wonder what else isn’t getting cleaned.

Bar 15 is a great place to spend some quality time with people you love. I also had a really good experience with the hospitality staff, and the reception area is fantastic. ATLANTIC Hotel Heidelberg was a great discovery in Heidelberg. Mr. Faith Kilanic is a wonderful person; after talking with him for a while, you’ll enjoy his warm welcome so much you may not want to leave.

The hotel is right in the center and has good parking, and I really enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and things were very nice overall. Just two small annoyances: the hand soap shoots out hard enough to splash your clothes, so watch out, and the breakfast bacon was overcooked. Nothing major.

The breakfast had fresh fruit, good coffee, and plenty of choices. The food was very good, though it could get crowded during excursions or business events. A special thanks to Débora (Debbie), who was kind, professional, and always helpful when we needed something. We were there for a business trip and needed the train every day, so the location suited us well. For regular trips downtown it’s a bit far, about a 40-minute walk, though city buses and trains are options. The room was clean and comfortable, but storage was limited for two people. Outside sounds like traffic didn’t come through, while we could sometimes hear footsteps from guests in other rooms. The stay instructions could be clearer. There wasn’t information in the room about the reception number, Wi-Fi, or breakfast hours. Some, but not all, details were available through the TV’s hotel instructions section, which we had to discover ourselves because no one mentioned it at check-in. A welcome folder with instructions would have helped.
