The bike routes from Heidenheim were a real mess, so I wouldn't recommend them. The place itself felt cozy and clean, with a slightly rustic look, and the recent renovation made it quite nice. My room was very small, though. Service was friendly, but the meal was a letdown: the meat was tough, the red cabbage looked gray, and everything tasted bland.

Breakfast had a nice range of vegetarian choices, and they let me fill my thermos with coffee and take a few snacks along for my hike. The room was impressively clean, and the confirmation-code check-in was simple. Drinks in the fridge were priced very reasonably, and I had everything else I needed. I was completely satisfied.

There are only a few parking spots at or near the hotel, and traffic passes through the area, but it was still fairly quiet. The hotel is right in the town center, with good rooms, good service, and breakfast. I'd happily stay there again.

The beds were especially comfortable, and although our room was on the small side, it was clean and freshly renovated. We were warmly welcomed and the service was excellent. We were in neighboring Hechlingen for enduro training, and we'd gladly come back to this inn. Thanks again to the lovely owner! 👍👍👍
