Katryn is THE BEST hotel owner. She makes sure everything is how you want it, and the food was absolutely delicious and healthy. The rooms have fun movie themes, and both the beds and shower were really good. The location is very quiet, close to nature, and such a lovely place to stay :)

For three weeks I stayed at Katryn’s hotel while doing a 200h Yoga Teacher Training with the Anandam School. The beautiful landscapes around Hotel Hinter den Spiegeln made the experience even more memorable, and I truly had a wonderful time. Katryn’s unique, creative hotel has a real sense of home. Her warm hospitality made our stay special, with delicious home-cooked meals, caring attention, and meaningful conversations. I loved seeing her creativity in the food too: every day brought a new, surprising mix of flavors.

I love this hotel, just amazing. The view is gorgeous, the room was very clean, and the staff were super friendly. The meals were delicious, and they also put on great events.

Katrin was lovely and spoke excellent English, and she pointed us toward some good walking routes. I also had a superb vegetarian burger for dinner, the best I've ever had. Our Steam Punk no 7 room was comfortable and well equipped, with a balcony looking out over the peaceful, picturesque surroundings. The hotel is a short distance from the centre of Heimbach. We'd happily recommend it for a relaxing stay.

The sci-fi and fantasy themes give this place loads of personality, and the hosts are friendly and sociable. Our room was basic but nice. The location also worked well for a morning run. Breakfast was only okay, though it was more than enough for the price. I'd definitely stay here again.
