Villa Schering Whg_ 4

We spent five days over Pentecost weekend as four adults in the ground-floor apartment at the bottom left of Villa Schering in Heringsdorf. The apartment is practical and functional, but it’s very basic for the price and missing a number of things. There was no bath mat, soap, or kitchen supplies like paper towels, and the coffee machine didn’t work properly. The patio furniture has seen better days, the patio is uninviting and damaged, and it wasn’t clean. The second bedroom feels more like a children’s room, with two single beds and no wardrobe. The bedroom mattress, duvets, and pillows were filthy and stained all over, an absolute disaster and completely unacceptable. Luckily we brought our own blankets and pillows. The villa description is also unclear. The photos suggest a sea view, but the apartment faces the street instead, and with several other owners living in the building, you definitely feel watched. There are better equipped apartments in the area. The owner needs to put some money into this one, and next time we visit Usedom, we’ll stay somewhere else.
