Our landlord was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we'd happily stay again. We were in apartment number 2 and were very pleased with it. It was spotless, functionally furnished, and the beds were comfortable. Towels and bed linen were provided upon request, and we got a travel cot and highchair at no extra charge. Every room had roller shutters. There was some noise from the apartments, but we were usually out and it didn't bother us. Evenings and nights were always quiet. The parking out front worked well with a toddler, though the spaces were a little tight. If they're full, street parking is the better option.

Apartment no. 3 was clean, which was a plus. The house is right behind a school, though, and it could get noisy when we sat on the balcony. We wouldn't choose it for another holiday. We were really looking forward to Herrsching, but the accommodation fell short. The furniture was worn and some pieces were broken, and some doors wouldn't close properly or at all. The bathroom badly needed renovation. Its 80x100 cm space held just a sink and toilet, with no room to move around, and the toilet was practically unusable. The faucet looked like it came from Grandma's time and made washing your hands properly difficult. The balcony tiles were badly damaged. Parking in front of the house was a disgrace. Six spaces were marked, but getting in required extremely skilled driving. Twice we had to leave our car on the street because the lot was full. The television seemed old and didn't even have the most common channels or teletext.

The apartment was clean, quiet, and laid out well, but there wasn't much of a holiday feeling since the other apartments were rented long-term and ours was the only holiday rental. The bedroom mattress was awful. Wi-Fi, when it worked at all, was very slow, and the TV had exactly 3 channels, ARD, ZDF, and a third one. That's not much fun in bad weather with kids along. Our assigned parking space wasn't always free either. When we were leaving, the owner was quite unfriendly. I can't recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. We booked at short notice and got apartment 7, a spacious place on the top floor with two balconies, one looking toward Lake Ammersee. All the windows had electric shutters. The landlords were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. The bathroom was large with plenty of room, but could use an update. It took a long time for the water to heat up, and the sink felt too small for the space. The house sits at the edge of town, right on the footpath to Andechs Monastery. Shops for daily needs are a 5-minute walk away, and the ferry dock and S8 train toward Munich take about 10 to 15 minutes to reach on foot.
