After our drive took longer than planned, we needed somewhere to stay at short notice. The hosts welcomed us and found us a room without any fuss, and it came with a surprisingly generous breakfast. The kids felt right at home, and I was able to recover quickly after the long journey. The farm is in a lovely, peaceful spot, too. Definitely recommend it. Thanks!

I’m responding to the post about martens. They live in rural areas just as they do in cities, but the claim that there are martens or other pests in the apartments is incorrect. There are no pests in the apartments. I’m sorry the gentleman found us unfriendly. Over the past 25-30 years, we’ve occasionally had rental stays that apparently didn’t go well. Whenever guests report a problem, we fix it as quickly as we can or work out a solution together. I offered this gentleman a different room as an alternative. Wishing you a happy Easter afternoon. The breakfast was really good, and we’ve enjoyed coming here for three years. This time the whole family met up, with all the apartments available to us for the weekend. The vegetarian dinner was mostly cheese and vegetables, so it wasn’t very filling. It’s a nice place to walk the dogs, though finding the Weser River can sometimes be a little tricky.

We had our annual family reunion here for the first time, and liked it enough to book again right away for next year, 2024. Since we catered for ourselves, I can’t really comment on the service. It works especially well for family or group get-togethers of up to 15 people. The setting feels surrounded by nature, with a big, lovely natural garden and a fantastic chorus of birds, great for curious kids. Rooms range from modern to more solidly furnished, and the mattresses were unexpectedly good in every room. The bathrooms are fine, though not all rooms have their own. The terrace and garden aren’t very suitable for wheelchair users.
