Hotel Maxplatz

The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, and check-in and checkout were quick. I stayed for work over two weeks, with a drive home in between. My first room was a very large double; the second was a smelly single. Both rooms were clean and cleaned daily. They left a small bottle of water at the start of my stay, which I appreciated. The double had more space, but I felt both rooms could use more bathroom amenities, and they seemed a little cold. Breakfast was small but tasty, with cheese, fruit, honey, jam, scrambled eggs and little desserts. I think anyone could find something, though I missed salmon or some other fish. That's me nitpicking. The parking area is very small for the hotel. Out front, you can park free from 5 pm to 8 am, I think. That was enough for me while I was at work, but on vacation I wouldn't want to pay for parking. As a gym buff, I was glad they had a gym, but it wasn't open 24/7 and you have to ask for the key. The staff opened it for me in the morning at sunrise, which I was very thankful for. The equipment was good, though as a biker I missed having a stationary bike and dumbbells. They did have tools and water bottles, another plus for the gym. I had a lovely stay overall and would recommend the hotel or visit again.

The beds are comfy, and the rooms have been nicely renovated. This is a very nice, small, family-owned hotel in the center of Hof. There's a nice courtyard inside where you can have breakfast or coffee. Thanks.

Everyone made me feel welcome and were helpful, with good information about nearby facilities and attractions. The hotel has a lovely room and plenty of charm and character. Highly recommended.

I had my parents-in-law stay at Hotel Maxplatz for a week, and they were very happy with it. The rooms were modern and clean, the service was excellent, and the food was simple, tasty and had a decent selection. The location made it easy to walk to all the relevant places in Hof. Thank you!
