Hotel 54° Nord

The apartment is quiet, very clean, and well equipped. The location is excellent, a short walk from the beach, with groceries and restaurants on the street and a bus stop about three minutes away. The good staff service mentioned in other reviews seems to depend on the booking platform. Secret Escapes doesn’t appear to have a great reputation, and without it I wouldn’t have considered or booked this accommodation. I was disappointed that I got that impression, perhaps wrongly, both at check-in and when I made later inquiries. Even so, I can definitely recommend the place.

The service was warm and excellent, and the apartment itself was a dream, so peaceful. We could walk everywhere, with the beach just 300 meters away. We’ll definitely return.

The apartment was roomy and had everything we needed, though the dishwasher hardly cleaned anything, so we ended up doing the dishes by hand. We also liked being able to add breakfast or a room cleaning day by day. We were here for the first time with our dog and would happily recommend it. The beach is about a five-minute walk, and parking was easy, both around the hotel and in its free underground garage.

Our dog was welcome in both the hotel and the bistro, and the car was secure in the underground garage. They also handled our request for an extra cleaning without any fuss, for a small fee. We got a bottle of water and a nice wine as a welcome gift. This was our second visit, and we’ll be back. The modern, lovely apartments are ideally placed between the beach and town. We tried breakfast at the restaurant/bistro, which has a different owner from the hotel. It was fine, though we prefer nearby Café Lund.
