At Weingut und Gastehaus Gutsschanke Sennerhof, we stayed at a small winery hotel and bed and breakfast and really enjoyed it. Our room was spacious, with views across the hilly vineyards and up to Castle Burghotel Auf Schonburg on the hilltop. The Persch family were welcoming and helpful. Their son is the eighth generation of winemakers, and his father, Winfred, joined us at the table for a personal tasting of their own Rieslings. Dinner was delicious, and local people joined us for the evening meal.

We had such a pleasant evening here, sitting outside on the terrace at sunset. The owners looked after us warmly, and the relaxing atmosphere, food, and wine made it a real pleasure. They're a lovely couple who take pride in their work. Our room was very good too. The menu is fairly short, but the dishes we chose were excellent and made with local produce. The owner explained that they mainly serve cold dishes to go with their own top-quality wine, since wine production is their main business. The restaurant was busy with families enjoying the food and wine. I'd be very happy to return.

A lovely hotel at a working vineyard, though it's quite a long walk from the train station or ferry. Of all the places I stayed in Germany, this was the only one where dinner came in small portions, which I appreciated since meals there are usually pretty large.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at, without a doubt.

We were comfortable from the moment we arrived, and the lovely atmosphere went hand in hand with warm, personal service. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade jams, muesli, soft-boiled eggs, and plenty more. The house-made wine was delicious, and dinner was absolutely superb.
