Dinner was spectacular, and there are lovely quiet corners all around for reading or just unwinding. The garden is breathtaking, with darts, chess, and bocci ball to play with friends or your partner. It’s a beautiful hotel and a memorable way to step back into history. Five stars.

The breakfast buffet had one of the best ranges I’ve come across. I enjoyed the 'Gourmet Aperitif', though I’m not sure it’s worth the price. Do have dinner here, though. The gardens are a real bonus, with giant chess, boules, and Billiards in a lovely setting, or you can just sit and take in the view, weather permitting. And who wouldn’t want to stay in a castle? The rooms and public areas are beautifully done and feel suitably historic.

I wish I’d found this place sooner. It really does feel like a fairy tale, with great views, a lovely garden, and wonderful service and restaurants. My room, number 12, was comfortable, as was the bed, and it even had a medieval toilet. Every room is different, so that’s just the one I stayed in. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including sparkling wine and lots of yummy food. If you get the chance, just go. I’ll be back, and next time I want a room in the tower!

We Florida visitors arrived on 11/23/25 to light snow, which made the stay feel magical. The place was stunning, spectacular, amazing! Everyone on staff treated us so kindly, and dinner was perfect from start to finish. I only wish we’d stayed longer.

The rooms and beds were comfy, with different pillow options, and service was prompt and top notch. One staff member even carried our suitcases up three flights of stairs! The medieval castle and grounds are beautiful. It was first mentioned in 911AD, and there’s a great story behind the remodeling after it was bombed. I highly recommend staying here.
