The food was well worth the money. I had Peking soup and crispy duck with sweet and sour sauce, and it was delicious. The main dish came with a good amount of duck and vegetables that looked and tasted great. golden lotus is a pleasant, clean Chinese restaurant, with lots of decorations and an impressive mural on one wall. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.
I was a little hesitant about staying in rooms above a Chinese restaurant, but the staff were friendly and the room was entirely adequate for the price. The breakfast was cheap and better than I expected. The restaurant was a real surprise: the best crispy duck I’ve ever had, plus a large menu and an unexpectedly big cocktail list. Honestly, this might be the best thing about Idstein.
Just email to reserve at this small, affordable hotel. The room was nice and clean, and you can walk to the historic old town from its great location. We parked nearby. I didn’t expect much at this price, but the restaurant impressed me with delicious duck, a huge menu, several cocktails, and good dessert. The restaurant alone made the stay worthwhile. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely meal during our stay in Idstein. The food was delicious, with plenty of options and fun cocktails, and the interior was gorgeous. The little dog was lovely too. I’d come again 🥰
The food at the restaurant is really good, and the service is great. We often order home delivery, and it’s always on time and very friendly.
