Illmensee is such a lovely place, with a natural swimming area and a pretty nature trail around Lake Illmensee. There are also plenty of good fish restaurants and a cocktail bar. The food here was very good, and the landlady was super nice. The staff were great too, and our dog and we were made very welcome. Meersburg is 30 km away. Everything was great, so we made a good choice and will be back! Best wishes to the landlady! 👋

We went back for dinner today and had very good food, top quality for affordable prices. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. When I stopped by yesterday during the street festival, the weather was a little poor, but the atmosphere was still great. Staff were friendly, quick, and helpful then too, and the prices seemed fair. I'd recommend a visit.

We decided on the spur of the moment to eat here. Quite a few things were already sold out that evening. The starter salad was great, though a little small. The schnitzel with fries and extra cream sauce was excellent. The venison ragout was delicious too, but came with just six croquettes, which felt a bit meager. Still, everything tasted really good.

Such friendly, lovely people! We got there at 8 pm and they still found us something to eat, even though the kitchen was already closed. Really nice hosts! 👍
