We need a shower tonight, and the hot water has been shut off on our second night here. There’s no heater either, though the room itself isn’t cold. We called customer service, but she couldn’t reach anyone to fix it and told us to email tomorrow about a refund. That doesn’t help us right now. No hot water in winter makes showering impossible, and the service has been poor.

The location worked well, with a 15-minute walk to the city center, parking, and a breakfast bar downstairs. But the room was around 27-28 degrees in March, with the heating always on and the floor warm. I couldn’t sleep. Opening the window wasn’t an option because of the busy road right outside. I messaged staff around 8 am and was told someone would come by during the day. Nobody showed up, and then they stopped replying. It felt like staff were making fun of me.

The rooms were clean and had all the equipment I needed, and the standard was pretty alright. It’s a very modern, automated hotel with no reception, so everything is handled online.

There was water leaking all over the washroom from the standing bath, and the hotel had no phone number to call. There wasn’t any staff on the property over the weekend either. We stayed over Christmas, and they also turned off the hot water on weekends. What kind of hotel tries to save money that way? This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The bakery downstairs was great for breakfast or coffee, and getting to the city center took about 15 minutes on a pleasant walk, if you don’t mind the cold this time of year. We had a really nice, spacious studio that looked brand new and had everything we needed. It was one of the best places we’ve stayed. We’d definitely recommend it and stay again if we return to the city.
