We only stopped in for lunch, so I can’t speak to the hotel. The restaurant is down on the historic lower level, with tall ceilings and old brewing equipment around the wooden tables. We enjoyed the traditional Bavarian dishes we ordered. The male staff could have been friendlier, though. As foreigners, we weren’t familiar with the menu and would have appreciated a little help choosing.

We’ve come back twice since our first visit and still love it. The beer and food are really tasty, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is great. The rooms are cozy too. Highly recommend!

There isn’t much to do nearby, but once you’re inside the brewery, you may not feel like going anywhere else. It’s traditional and cozy, with tasty beer, good meals and snacks, and a very comfortable bed. Everything was very good 👍.

You’ll find plenty of parking nearby, and it’s worth exploring the monastery grounds and the baroque church. If you’re there on a Sunday, stay for the beer garden! The hotel and restaurant are a real gem, thoughtfully decorated in a style that keeps the former monastery’s Bavarian character. Rooms are spacious, the food is delicious and high quality, and beer enthusiasts have a treat in store.

The food was nicely cooked, the service quick and polite, and the beers tasty. The outdoors are serene and beautiful, while inside feels warm and humble. I’d go again, and you should too!
