City Apartment Jena

The hosts or owners were so helpful and friendly, probably the most welcoming people I've ever met. The room is spacious and the place is quiet. Best of all, everything essential in the city center, including the train station, is just a 5-minute walk away.

The landlord was very nice, but the apartment wasn't as good as it appeared online. It wasn't clean, the shower was dirty, and the sofa was worn out. The bed linen didn't fit, and the towels smelled unpleasant. Since they were only changed every seven days, that smell wasn't much of an issue.

The location is central and nice, but the listing was misleading: there is one bedroom, plus a sofa bed in the living-dining room, not two bedrooms. It was generally clean, except inside the stove. The pans were dented and completely burned. Parking was advertised, but the fine print says you need to find a parking garage downtown.

I slept very well, and that's what matters most to me. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, though the extractor fan is still broken. I was here during the pandemic and found it disappointing that everything was closed, so there wasn't much for me to see. All in all, I'd like to come back.
