The apartment is in a pretty run-down state, and cleanliness needs a lot of work. There were dead flies, broken lamps and blinds, and an unclean kitchen. The coffee machine was broken too. With some effort put into upkeep, the place could be much better.

We loved the location and the apartment, and hope to book this same one when we return to Jena. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with grocery stores, restaurants, and the old town all within walking distance. The river and greenery are just a few minutes away, and a little farther on you're in the lively old town. Our place had two sleeping spaces, a comfortable sitting area, and a terrace with a wonderful view of Jena. The landlords were friendly and sent us all the information we needed beforehand. Parking is available on nearby streets, or you can rent a spot in the underground garage. It's a house with several apartments. Jena, you beautiful... we'll be back!
