I arrived at 9:30 pm and couldn't get in, even though reception was supposed to be open 24/7. After a while I finally reached someone by phone and had to go to another hotel. They still charged my credit card, then charged it again after I complained. They haven't replied to any emails since. Professionalism?

I didn't stay there myself, but my friends from the UK did. They were happy with the beds and bathroom, though a few things could have been better. There was no black tea at breakfast, which they found quite extraordinary as English guests, and one morning the rolls had run out before they got there. When they mentioned this, the young manager was very apologetic, quickly fixed the situation, and clearly wanted to leave the right impression.

The staff were friendly and the rooms big and nice. But internet didn't work at all in my room, number 10, which was strange. The heating also didn't seem very good. My radiator was on maximum all night, but the room still felt cool in the morning.

The room was fine and the staff friendly. The entrance felt a bit strange, dark with glow in the dark. I also didn't have a power socket near the bed to charge my phone or laptop.

Lovely place in the city center of Jena. The location works well for a larger party or a wedding.
