Best Western Hotel Kaiserslautern

They got us rooms at the last minute, in the middle of the night, and charged fair prices. The staff were friendly, and there’s a nice outdoor patio where you can get drinks. Breakfast is free and the gym is nice. I expected less, but the rooms were small and there was no AC.

Frau Alessanndra was so courteous and helpful, especially when she showed me how to use the TV tablet. She made me feel like a VIP and represented Best Western with a warm smile and real professionalism. As an American with very little German, I appreciated her kindness even more. She did an excellent job in customer service. I’d recommend her for a promotion. Stay bless Frau Alessandra.

Breakfast was the highlight for me. The rest of the stay was disappointing: my single room was very small, with a twin bed, and the refrigerator didn’t work. The Wi-Fi kept dropping and was intermittent. Parking is called free, but that only applies if you find an open space out front. Otherwise, the underground garage at the hotel costs 5.50 euros.

I first learned to swim in the pool here 43 years ago, when I lived in the apartments across the road. The pool’s gone now, but there’s a great spa, plus a good bar area and good food. We really enjoyed our stay, and the brunette lady at the front desk was very helpful. Highly recommended.
