We had dinner at the pop-up restaurant "HIFI Cuisine" in a little castle overlooking the Naab River in Kallmünz. The setting above the river and surrounding countryside was beautiful, and the view really added to the experience. The chefs are professional musicians as well as people who love food, and their inventive, colorful dishes reflect that mix. They use local, seasonal ingredients, with each flavor meant to connect with the music being played and bring out a new sensation. The food and music felt closely linked. The dining room was simple and sober, but had a lively, rich artistic feel. Live performances by the chef-musicians made it a multi-sensory evening.

Franziska, Jürgen, and the whole team looked after our group of nine so well during a leadership offsite at Raitenbuch Castle. We stayed between the castle and the CALLM, and the facilities were excellent. The food was incredibly delicious, too. We also got a fascinating tour of the brewery and distillery, then had dinner at Bürstenbinder, the smallest inn in the Upper Palatinate, or perhaps even Bavaria, where they served their own beer. It’s a terrific location for small teams. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!
