We’d really enjoyed the food, the spacious room, and the lovely surroundings up to our last night. The rosé incident changed how we felt about the stay. My wife and I have both worked in different parts of hospitality, and this was disappointing and unprofessional. It wasn’t about the cost, we had an open budget for the vacation. It was the principle, and the way the issue was handled marred what had otherwise been a good visit. We first found the hotel through Holiday Concept. On our first day, my wife ordered a glass of rosé. We both thought it was one of the best we’d ever tasted, so we ordered a bottle each day after that. The waitress told us there was just one kind of rosé. On the final evening, I asked a different waiter for that same bottle. He brought over an opened bottle of white wine. I said I’d ordered rosé, but he insisted that was what he’d brought. I had to show him a photo we’d taken of the rosé before he took the bottle away. Then the owner came over with an already opened bottle of rosé, poured some, said rosé could change from white to red, and left. My wife and I tasted it and immediately looked at each other. It wasn’t the same wine, even though the bottle was supposedly the same. It tasted like cheap white wine with red coloring. I spoke with the owner privately, but she aggressively insisted my taste buds must have been off that night. I told her my wife had noticed the same thing. She was very rude, and I had to ask her to calm down. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I stopped arguing. We tried to drink it at the table, but found it revolting. The owner came back to insist again that we were wrong. When I asked her to taste it, she walked away. We ordered other drinks to have with our meal and left the wine alone. We were still charged for the bottle. I hope management takes this feedback constructively and improves how these situations are handled.

We felt so welcome, Family Becker are always friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the three-course dinner each night was delicious 😋. It’s a lovely little family-run hotel in a fantastic spot. We had another perfect stay and are already looking forward to coming back 🥰

We only ate at the restaurant, and the experience was just okay. The inside is cozy and nicely decorated, but the food we tried was basic and nothing special. There weren’t many options available. We had schnitzel with fries, and it was rather dry. When we asked for sauce, they kindly brought some gravy.

They told me on the phone that three rooms were available, but that changed when I mentioned I’d be using hotel check.
