I loved the place and the whole experience, especially as photography is my passion. The garden is beautiful and large, with room to relax, and the room was clean and comfortable. CLEAN towels were provided too. At Seminarhaus Arya maitreya, the host was very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely come again :)

When I first arrived, I wondered, “Where am I?” Then I walked through the door and felt a sense of inner peace. After a stressful day, I found real calm here. I was on a business trip, and as someone spiritually inclined, I was glad to meet people who share this knowledge and are so polite, kind, and considerate of each other. This is a place of rest and healing, shaped by people living in a spiritual community and following their path away from today’s chaos. My room, Amitabha, was cozy and comfortable. There’s a shared bathroom and kitchen in the basement, and no private entrance, but my room had a hot pot for tea or quick meals. Music from the house carries through the space and turns a stressful day into a relaxing experience. The shop also sells Asian medicines and other items certified as authentic. It was a wonderful experience and the accommodation had everything I needed. PS: My 3-star rating is for the location, not the accommodation itself!

The garden and surrounding area are worth exploring, and I’d also suggest joining one or more events to experience the whole center, including the sculptures, temple, and everything else there is to discover. I came away with deep gratitude and a sense of clarity, feeling reconnected with myself and recharged. That gave me new strength and clarity to return to life with renewed energy. During my visit, I wanted to offer my perception of this place with its clear spiritual focus, not to judge it. The center practices taking refuge in the Three Jewels: refuge in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. I could clearly see these three jewels being realized here, and in that sense, this is a place created by a Sangha. It’s like a body, a building, a vessel where the Dharma can be experienced and Buddha found, if you enter it and open yourself to it as a guest. I’d recommend letting yourself be immersed in the place and simply enjoying it. The furnishings and service don’t need to be especially beautiful or exceptional. What mattered to me was having a peaceful space where I could grow and learn, and also just relax and enjoy my time.

Breakfast was cold coffee and discount-store sausage, while the breakfast waitress coughed nonstop over the buffet. Seriously, who needs that? The room was clean, but that was about the only good thing. The shower and toilet were shared across the hall, and I waited 45 minutes at reception as the only guest. If you want to throw your money away, this is the place for you.

The treatments were practical enough that I can use them in everyday life, and they’ve enriched my life. The accommodation, meals, and being part of the community’s daily routine felt grounding right away and have had a lasting effect. After a journey of more than 700 km, the retreat center gave me a wonderful break from everyday stress. I was welcomed into a loving family and quickly felt immersed in peace and contemplation. I highly recommend it. Thank you so much for the wonderful time.
