Apart'Hotel

For the price, it’s a very nice place to stay, with clean, spacious rooms that have a kitchen and strong Wi-Fi. The staff were helpful and spoke very good English. It’s also convenient for Strasbourg, with a tram station close by, and there’s free street parking. My only issue was how cold the room was. There was no way to adjust the heating.

Our room was quiet and clean, just what we needed after a long drive. We skipped breakfast to try local French food, and Kehl felt charming, especially with the Christmas decorations. I only wish we’d had more time to look around. We’d landed in Strasbourg on an unplanned European road trip and found most places there overpriced, so the Apart Hotel in nearby Kehl was a reasonably priced option, just a short drive from the cathedral. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially with our 4-month-old. They thoughtfully gave us a room away from other guests to limit possible disturbance. There was a small misunderstanding about extra charges for children and kitchenette cleaning, which I hadn’t noticed on booking.com, but the staff handled it with understanding and professionalism. Next time I’d book directly with the hotel to avoid confusion.

The reception staff were very friendly, and there’s garage parking available for a fee. For a trip to Strasbourg, you can take the cablecar from the station right next to the hotel. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were okay. Unfortunately, the room didn’t smell very pleasant.

The room was big, with a great kitchenette setup and everything we needed, including a microwave. It had a pleasant feel. Try to arrive early if you want a parking spot; otherwise, look farther along the street. We got there at 9 pm and still found a place to park a minute from the hotel.
