JUFA Hotel Kempten

We saw plenty of families vacationing together, and our boy had three servings of Bolonase with salad. The food at both breakfast and dinner was fantastic, tasty and nutritionally balanced for adults and little ones. Kids loved the loft in our room. A swimming facility with pools up to 34C and a giant rock climbing facility are within a 5-10 minute walk, even manageable with small kids. Outside the restaurant there's a big yard with a sand pit, trampoline and other little play setups. Inside, there's a toddler play area, another for young kids, a separate Billard room and a movie theatre. The staff are super friendly. The JUFA Hotel chain is known for being family-friendly, and this hotel works well in rain or shine. We'll be back.

The free daily access to Cambomare's outdoor pool was great, and one visit to the indoor pool with water slides was included too. That was the highlight of our trip. There's a lot for younger kids to do here. The hotel was fully booked, but we didn't hear people in other rooms, so it must be well insulated against noise. Our room was clean and functional, though quite small. Breakfast was good for a family and OK for coeliacs: GF bread and freshly baked rolls, Schär muesli, beans, and boiled or scrambled eggs were available. The sausages and meatballs contained gluten.

Swimming and bouldering are really close by, and there's a cinema for kids. The rooms are great, and not having a mini bar suits a youth or family hotel. Service is fine.

We really enjoyed the pool, and it was nice to have entry to the Cambomare. Our room was quiet, breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel manager was especially helpful.
