The pillows were too soft for me and affected my sleep a bit. Another drawback is that weekend breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30 am, which may be too late if you have early plans. Otherwise, the quality was satisfying. The hotel is right by the train station, and both the room and shared areas were clean. The renovation looks fairly recent and well kept, giving the place a fresh feel. I also had a nice view of the city marina. Breakfast had a good variety, including cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, vegetables, fruit, muesli and boiled eggs as the hot option. A decent stay with good breakfast and a great location, though a few details could be better.

The room had what we needed, and we had a good view of platform 3 at the station next door. Breakfast was wonderful, with gluten-free options. Our late check-in at the electronic terminal was troublesome: it reported internet problems and rejected our first two credit cards. When we left, the lift was temporarily out of order, which was a shame.

My daughter and I had a positive hotel stay. Parking was convenient and tucked away from the street, and the hotel was easy to find. We got a genuinely warm welcome, and the staff knew the local dining options well.

A good option for a short stay, with a great location about a five-minute walk from Sophienhof. Reception staff were nice and helped us through check-in and checkout. They also offered to store our drinks in their fridge since the room had no refrigerator. The room was alright, with decent decor and bunk beds for the kids, but it lacked an iron and cabinets too, which was inconvenient. Overall, a good hotel for a short visit.

The price makes this hotel worthwhile. Our room was ready, and it was bigger and more comfortable than the tiny rooms you sometimes get, with enough space to spend the day in. The receptionist was helpful. It’s a few minutes’ walk from Kiel Hbf and by the sea, though the view is mostly of docks rather than open water.
