I wouldn’t give this hotel a star if I could avoid it. The staff seemed unprofessional to me and didn’t have the attitude I expect from people hosting hotel guests. The food was nothing special, with no desserts available, and the atmosphere could be much better. The toilets in the main foyer smelled of stale urine, and there hadn’t been hand towels for two days. I was thoroughly unimpressed and don’t expect to return anytime soon. The four-star rating feels like it belongs in the 70s: McDonald’s offers better service, cleaner toilets, working wifi, and even a dessert with a Happy Meal.

The hotel is in a very quiet, scenic spot with no traffic, and both the rooms and hotel were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We did miss having tea or coffee in the room, or a vending machine in the hotel. Since we arrived on Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was closed, we had to go to the Gasthaus in the village for dinner.

We had a lovely weekend here with our dog. The room was clean and practical, and the staff were warm and helpful. Dinner was excellent, though breakfast was just average. It was handy that dog owners have a separate room in the restaurant, so there’s less chance of friction with guests without dogs. We’d gladly recommend the hotel.
