Am Rübenkeller

The walking and hiking trails start right outside, and breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of variety and everything tasting delicious. I also enjoyed the easy conversations with the other guests and with Horst and Angelina, who were lovely hosts. My dogs and I had a wonderful weekend at "Am Rübenkeller." Angelina welcomed us warmly, even though we arrived late in the evening. I felt at ease there, more like I was visiting dear friends than staying somewhere unfamiliar. The "Camera Verde" room and bathroom were spotless and set up very practically. Thank you so much for having us. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Breakfast was fantastic and rounded off our stay nicely. We felt at home during our two nights at the Rübenkeller in Kirchsahr, in its wonderfully quiet setting. The place is charming and cozy, and everything was spotless. You can tell a lot of care and attention to detail went into it. The owners were especially lovely, warm, kind, and accommodating. We felt welcome right away. We’d happily recommend the Rübenkeller and would love to return. 🌸

A great spot for anyone who loves nature, with a peaceful setting and hiking routes to the radio telescope and along the Ahr Valley. The rooms are very spacious, with high ceilings, and pets are allowed. Breakfast is tasty and generous. Just mention any special requests. The hosts are very friendly. The restaurant has closed, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Highly recommended.

The individual rooms and great breakfast were lovely, and the hosts have real charm. East Frisia meets Apulia. 😀 Getting there by motorcycle was a beautiful ride. My husband and I sat on the bench in front of the Rübenkeller, a local wine cellar, drinking wine in the evening. It was so quiet our ears almost crackled. We know that kind of stillness from Canada. You arrive and find complete peace. Eating out nearby is a bit difficult, though Rheinbach and Bad Münstereifel have plenty of options.
