Breakfast is served upstairs, with a great view, friendly staff, and enough food and drinks. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, with a bath, a good view over town, excellent beds, and plenty of TV choices. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and spoke German, English, and even Dutch. There’s also generous parking, and the location is easy to find in lovely Kleve, near a nice shopping area. I’d definitely come back.

The meal was excellent from the starter through dessert, and it came at a just-right pace. I was there for a private dinner, and the place was clean with a lovely feel to it. There’s a large balcony overlooking a pond. The staff were very friendly, and Christian Nitsch, the owner, also stopped by briefly. He seemed like a warm, engaging person. I’d recommend it to anyone after a quiet, relaxed dinner.
